How much does transmission repair cost in Dubai?
It depends on the car and the fault. As a rough guide: minor repairs like solenoids, sensors or a mechatronic sleeve typically run AED 800–2,500; torque converter or clutch work AED 2,500–6,000; and full rebuilds AED 4,000–12,000+ depending on the gearbox. That’s exactly why our diagnostic scan is free — you get an exact quote for your car before spending anything.
How long does a gearbox rebuild take?
Most rebuilds take 4–7 working days. That includes stripping the unit, inspecting every part, rebuilding with quality components, and proper road testing — we don’t rush it. Smaller repairs like valve bodies or mechatronics are usually 2–4 days. You’ll get a firm timeline with your quote.
What are the signs my transmission is failing?
The classic warning signs: slipping gears (revs rise but speed doesn’t), shuddering or jerking when shifting, delayed engagement into Drive or Reverse, dashboard warnings like ‘transmission fault’ or flashing PRNDS, red fluid leaking under the car, whining or grinding noises, and a burning smell. If you notice any of these, get a free diagnostic — early catches are always cheaper.
Is it safe to drive with a slipping transmission?
For short distances, driven gently, usually yes — but don’t delay. Slipping creates heat, and heat destroys transmissions quickly in Dubai’s climate. What starts as a worn solenoid can become a full rebuild if driven for weeks. Book a free check and we’ll tell you honestly how urgent it is.
Is CVT repair more expensive than a regular automatic?
Not necessarily. Common CVT faults — valve bodies, stepper motors, torque converters — are very repairable and often cost less than people fear. What matters is the specific fault, not the gearbox type. Our free diagnostic gives you the real answer for your car.
How often should I change transmission fluid in Dubai?
Every 40,000–60,000 km — sooner if you tow or drive hard. Our heat breaks ATF down much faster than the ‘lifetime fill’ claims suggest, and most gearbox failures we see trace back to neglected fluid. It’s the cheapest maintenance your transmission can get.
Do you offer a warranty on rebuilds?
Yes — every transmission rebuild comes with a warranty on parts and labour. We’ve been doing this for 30+ years, and we stand behind our work. If anything we rebuilt gives trouble within the warranty, we make it right.
Do you service my car brand?
Almost certainly yes. We work on every major brand sold in the UAE — Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Ford, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen, Land Rover, Porsche, Lexus, Jeep, GMC, Chevrolet, Mitsubishi, Mazda, Infiniti, Suzuki and more. See our car brands page for the full list.
Is the diagnostic really free?
Yes. Our computer diagnostic scan plus road test is completely free, with no obligation. You’ll get a clear explanation of what’s wrong and an exact quote. If you choose not to proceed, you pay nothing.
Where are you located, and do you offer pickup?
We’re in Ras Al Khor Industrial Area 2, Dubai — easy to reach from Sheikh Zayed Road and Al Khail Road. We’re open Saturday to Thursday, 7:00 AM–1:00 PM and 3:00–8:00 PM (closed Fridays). And yes, we offer free pickup and delivery across Dubai — just call 0501244337 to arrange it.
