Manual gearboxes are getting rarer on Dubai roads, but they’re still out there — in older cars, workhorses, 4x4s and enthusiast cars. And they fail in their own ways: worn synchros, tired clutches, noisy bearings. We rebuild manuals too, usually faster and cheaper than automatics because there’s no hydraulic brain to argue with.

Manual Gearbox Clutch Replacement
The most common manual gearbox job: a worn clutch. Symptoms are hard to miss — slipping under acceleration, a high biting point, difficulty getting into gear, or a burning smell. We replace the full clutch kit (disc, pressure plate, release bearing), resurface or replace the flywheel as needed, and check the gearbox itself while it’s apart. Most clutch jobs are done in a day.

Usually worn synchros — the parts that match gear speeds during a shift. It’s repairable, and catching it early prevents damage to the gears themselves.
How long does a clutch replacement take?
Most cars: one working day. Some 4x4s and performance cars take a little longer. We’ll confirm when you book.
Do you repair 4×4 transfer cases?
Yes — transfer case chains, clutches and actuators, plus differentials. Very common work on Patrols, Land Cruisers, Pajeros and Wranglers in the UAE.
